Dr. Michael Allon

Dr. Michael Allon
Infertility Specialist, Board Certified Reproductive Endocrinologist

Dr. Michael Allon, a Houston, TX fertility specialist is Board Certified in both Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility. He is also a Diplomat of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr. Allon is a native of Houston and completed his medical and Obstetrics and Gynecology training at Baylor College of Medicine. While completing his residency, Dr. Allon had the opportunity to work with many infertile couples and developed a keen interest in the complicated processes leading to successful conception and pregnancy.

Now in private clinical fertility practice, Dr. Allon continues to pursue his interests in polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) and PCOS's many associated symptoms. PCOS is one of the most common causes of infertility in women. He offers the full spectrum of infertility services and is an expert in laparoscopic surgery for endometriosis and other conditions. Additionally, he has built a very successful assisted reproductive technology program (IVF) which includes a Donor Egg Program.

Dr. Allon is the author of several articles and book chapters including, “Ectopic Pregnancy & Hirsutism”. He is active in ongoing PCOS research and is President of the Houston PCOS Support Chapter.

Throughout his career, Dr. Allon has received many awards and recognition for superior accomplishments in the field of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. Additionally, he was selected by Houston Texas Magazine and the Texas Monthly Magazine for his dedication and superior service to patients.

Chris Jordan, Personal Trainer

Chris has over 12 years of experience in the health and fitness industry.  A native Houstonian, Chris enlisted in the Marine Corps in 2001 after graduating from Waltrip High School. Upon completing his tour of duty Chris returned to Houston where he began his career as a personal trainer.  After 8 years as a fitness director where he coached and developed personal trainers, Chris ventured out where he could once again personalize his relationships with the community.

“I love fitness! But my true passion is for helping people and establishing lifelong connections. First timers and weight loss members have a special place with me.  All too often it is not ones lack of ability but more so, their lack of hope.  No one is hopeless as far as I'm concerned!"

Joan Ifland, PhD

Dr. Ifland is a food addiction professional who is active in both practice and research.

She is the lead author of the first scholarly description of processed food addiction in humans and the first definition of addictive versus non-addictive foods. She was invited by Yale University to submit a chapter describing the processed food addiction syndrome in the textbook, Food and Addiction.  She was also invited to submit a chapter describing the evidence for refined food addiction to Obesity, Epidemiology, Pathophysiology and Prevention edited by Harry Preuss, MD, MACN, CNS at Georgetown University Medical School, and Debasis Bagchi, PhD, MACN, CNS, MAIChE of the University of Houston.

Dr. Ifland earned her PhD in 2010 at Union Institute in addictive nutrition. Her MBA was awarded by Stanford Business School and her BA in Economics by Oberlin College.

She is the chair of the Council on Food Addiction at the American College of Nutrition. She co-founded The Society of Food Addiction Professionals. She consults to 12 step food addiction groups and is one of two authors whose books are approved for 12 Step food addiction groups.

Dr. Ifland has maintained a food addiction practice since 1999. Lisa Benjamini-Allon
Founder and CEO, PCOS Foundation

The PCOS Foundation was established in July of 2010 by Lisa Benjamini-Allon to assist women who were deeply affected by this condition due to the lack of information or diagnosis.  Advocating and recognizing this syndrome is a key component of our causes.

This 501 (c) (3) Non-Profit charitable organization is dedicated to the needs of women and adolescents living with PCOS. Our mission is to spread awareness through public and professional education programs in order to improve diagnosis and decrease or eliminate the lifetime risks associated with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. We hope to establish grant programs that will help women affected with PCOS obtain treatments through medical lifestyle management programs so that PCOS women live healthy and happy lives. Lisa encourages everyone across the world to “Take a Step, Take a Stand, for the millions of women and adolescent girls.”

Natalia Gonzalez

Natalia holds a degree in Finance from ITESM; she's originally from Mexico.  She combines contact sports with her love of dance, and was an Amateur Boxer while in college.  In dance she gravitates to Ballet, Modern Dance, Hip Hop and Ballroom Dancing; her other sports participation includes Track, Basketball, Softball and Rock Climbing.  She teaches Zumba classes and will test soon for her first Belt in Ju Jitsu/Grappling. Learn more at www.nataliagonzalez612.zumba.com


Ekpedeme U Wade, MD

Dr. Wade graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology from the University of Missouri – Columbia. She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from University of Missouri – Columbia School of Medicine. Dr. Wade completed her residency training at the Memorial Family Medicine residency program in Houston, Texas where she served as chief resident. She is board certified in family medicine.

Dr. Wade practiced traditional family medicine for 5 years, but her love for psychology brought her to Heritage, where her primary focus is treating psychological disorders. She is passionate about treating people as a whole – physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Her special interests include treating depression, anxiety, ADHD, OCD and PTSD. Allie is an intern under the supervision of Julie Summers, M.A., L.P.C. Allie earned her Masters of Psychology from Houston Baptist University.
